Alabama Gov. Riley Proclaims 'Sunshine Week'

Alabama Gov. Bob Riley proclaims March 13-19 as 'Sunshine Week' and encourages citizens to learn more about the state's open meetings law. Calling open meetings "the cornerstone of our representative form of government," the proclamation notes that "citizens of Alabama have the right to know how public officials are representing them and spending their tax dollars."
